Searching for tiny dapper man to act as your shadow? Look no further! Tye has your back... literally! Tye is one of those dogs that's just happy to be involved in whatever his humans are doing and often trails behind them like a curious baby duckling. Good ol' Tye is an early riser, who thrives on routine in his golden years. He loves to start his morning bright and early for a quick potty break and his first meal of the day! Tye will be sure to show off his impressive dance moves while you prepare his food, and provide lots of entertainment to those around him. He's always down for a cuddle so after his little routine, Tye is more than happy to plop down for a nice nap in your arms until it's time for his beloved walkies!

Throughout the day, Tye likes to be wrapped up in a warm blanket, or follow his fosters around from room to room tippy tapping all the way. Although he's not super interested in toys, Tye loves window watching and surveying his domain from a comfy spot! He often asks to be picked up or held by making cute little sounds to alert his humans. And after a long eventful day, he likes to curl up on his fosters lap, and stare at them lovingly until he falls asleep. His tiny snores are out-of-this-world adorable too!

For Tye, it's the simple things in life that make him happy; mealtime, cuddles and walks. Rinse and repeat! As a senior, Tye is a bit hearing impaired, so while he can still partially hear, he mainly relies on sight and of course sniffs. One of his favorite activities is posing as his foster parents' personal sous chef in the kitchen. They say that he races to the kitchen to smell all of the good cooking going on, and have a little taste when allowed! Despite his age, lil Tye is still quite a peppy pup. He gets excited zoomies before every walk and loves meeting new people! He also enjoys spending time with other animals, and could be a fit for homes with respectful resident pets that match his energy, and are able to respect his space as he gets to know them. He is currently living with another small dog in foster care, and has previously lived well with cats too!

Unfortunately, Tye's owner had to make the hard decision to surrender him after they were diagnosed with a serious illness, and unable to continue caring for him. In his older years, Tye has had a few medical issues that will require ongoing monitoring and established care with a full-service veterinarian. He currently has osteoarthritis so he's on daily medication to help ease his joint pain and make him feel more comfortable. According to his fosters, he takes his medication without issue as long as it's hidden in something tasty, and is becoming a pro with using stairs to get up onto the couch so that he doesn't have to do big jumps. Otherwise, he gets two walks a day to help exercise his joints, and trots around constantly! He recently had a dental surgery with PAWS as well. At the moment, there is no needed treatment, but his adopter(s) should be prepared for any further dental care that he may need in the future.
