Hi, my name is Tulip! I'm a PURPLE pawprint, which means I will fit well into a home that meets some specific criteria. Here is what would work best for me in my new home:
-Personality: Affectionate, silly
-Can Live with Kids: Unknown history with kids so we are recommending dog-savvy kids around 12 years and up.
-Can Live with Cats: Unknown history with cats but may be okay with a slow and supervised introduction process.
-Can Live with Dogs: Tulip could possibly live with another dog. Introductions would be scheduled to ensure everyone gets along.
-Can do Apartment Living: Possibly with plenty of physical and mental stimulation, however a house with a yard would be preferred.
-Potty Trained: Seems to be!
-Bite History: No
-Positive Reward Based Obedience Classes Required: Not required but recommended.
-Energy Level: Moderate
-Needs Medical Procedure Before Going Home: No, ready to go!
-Additional Information: Tulip arrived to the shelter as a stray who was a bit fearful. She has had some time to decompress and is blossoming into a wonderfully sweet girl. It may take some time for Tulip to adjust to a new home, but plenty of love and continued positive reinforcement training will help her feel her best. Tulip could use some work on basic manners (such as being jumpy) but learns quickly, especially when treats are used for positive reinforcement. She would love to spend her days going on adventures with her people and snuggling up on the couch in the evening.
