Meet Tuka FL

It's not grey hair, it's free highlights! Tuka is a sweet 8.5 year old spayed female Hound mix. She weighs 50 lbs. From her foster mom - "Tuka is the sweetest dog there ever was! She's the perfect mix of low energy cuddle bug yet still spunky and loves to play. She is housetrained, loves other dogs, and is guaranteed to brighten your day!" Tuka is a calm, loving and affectionate girl. She is potty trained, uses the doggy door and likes car rides. Good with other dogs and kids. A cuddly, mellow girl that loves to get affection. Even though she just turned 6, she still loves to play with other dogs and enjoys learning new things. She may randomly show resource guarding only at feeding time. She does not have any issues with toys or even bones. She even lets a Chihuahua take a bone out of her mouth!
Tuka is currently heartworm positive. Heartworms are NOT contagious. At our rescue, we use a safe, slow treatment method as directed by our supervising veterinarian. Heartgard preventative stops any new worms from growing. After 6-18 months Tuka will be heartworm free. She may even be now!
Want to Adopt? 1) Fill out an application on theluckypuppy.org The adoption fees for puppies up to 12 months are a $400 minimum donation, 1 year and up are a $350 minimum donation. 2) Once your application is in, our adoption coordinator will contact you and complete a vet check and home visit (possibly electronic). 3) Once approved, please schedule a meet and greet to see the dogs. Meet and greets are by appointment only for approved adopters.
Tuka is available in Bonifay, Florida through the rescue efforts of The Lucky Puppy Rescue. This dog is currently in FL. The $350 adoption fee includes spay/neuter surgery, vaccinations, de-worm, flea prevention, heartworm prevention and martingale safety collar.
