Truman Pit Bull Terrier Mix East Peoria, IL

Stocky, squatty, and silly are the three best words to describe Truman. It's hard to believe he was at risk of being euthanized because of a breed ban in his area. Luckily, Truman was freed from death row and that was truly the gift that keeps on giving.
The perfect size chunk at 45 pounds,Truman is 3-5 years old. While we're not sure of his breed, he looks a lot like a staffy (mix?).
Truman is housebroken and crate trained (though there may be a few accidents during transition). Truman likes most other dogs (seems to do better with smaller males or females ant this time) and gets excited to play with them. He also enjoys the company of kids. Truman is indifferent to cats. This boy is STRONG and could use leash training. He pulls - a lot so a home with a fenced yard would be best until his leash skills improve. Because he's very treat motivated, Truman should be easy to train. He does know "sit" and "down." He has an amazing temperament. He tappy toe dances when he is excited by seeing his humans or treats and pulls out all the stops for both. Truman loves snuggles and while he enjoys playing, he is very much lower energy house hippo.
Truman is UTD on vaccines, neutered, microchipped, and ready to go! The only thing missing is the perfect home!
