Meet TROOPER - loves his stuffies

Please meet Trooper! He and his three siblings were rescued soon after their birth along with their stray momma. Unfortunately, the little family landed in a foster situation unequipped to handle newborn puppies and, sadly, two of the babies did not survive, Trooper and his sister, Susie, (along with their mom) were placed in an experienced foster home and have been thriving since. Mom has been adopted and now it's their turn to find forever homes.

Trooper is about 11 months old and weighs in at 50 pounds. Mom is a beagle/hound mix and dad was traveling mystery man. We call them "Heinz 57" pups....the best kind. Trooper is house trained and will scratch at the door when he needs to go out. He has an outside kennel and willingly goes in and out when asked so indoor crate training should come easily to him. He needs help with leash training, but this smart, treat-driven boy wants to please so he'll get the hang of that with time and patience. He knows basic commands, such as "sit", "come" and "no". One of his favorite things is walking around carrying his stuffed cute is that?!

Trooper is fostered with two small dogs and gets along fine with them. He knows how to play respectfully with little dogs. There is a cat in the foster home and he's okay around him but, like all pups, he can become curious and playful so any cats in his forever home should be dog savvy. He has not been fostered with children but with his friendly nature, we think a home with kids 8 or older would be fine.

Trooper has been neutered, micro-chipped and he's up to date with vaccinations. He's also on monthly flea/tick and heart worm preventative. His doggy bag is packed and he's ready to head for his forever home. If you'd like to give this sweet handsome boy his happily ever after, please email Chris at for an application. His adoption fee is $300. He’s waiting for you!
