Meet Trooper

Are you looking for a young, smart, fun loving pup? We’ll look no further. Trooper had a ruff start to life because he was born with a deformed leg. The breeder was going to euthanize him until he was saved by a lady who contacted ACDRA.

Trooper is approximately 5 months old and is 27lbs. He had his leg amputated last week (which he couldn’t use anyway) and was neutered. He has another week or so of recovery but the vet feels sure he will be ready for his new home and new adventure.
Trooper is working on potty training and will need a home that will work with him. He does pretty good on recall as he knows his name and loves attention. His missing leg doesn’t bother him a bit. He is one of the fastest in the foster home.

He is great with cattle dog savvy kids and is does good with other dogs although I can see that he likes to be the leader.

Trooper is being fostered in Rush, KY and is looking for the loving forever home he deserves.
