Due to his SLO disease, it is likely best to have him wear boots for longer walks / jogs on harder surfaces to prevent damages to his paw. What are the three first words that come to mind when you think of your dog? smart, anxious, quiet In a short paragraph, please provide any other details or a brief overview of your foster dog. Trigger is a very smart and well-trained dog. He can learn routines quickly once he trusts his owner. However he can be very anxious and may take some time to get comfortable with a new owner, during which time he can be seeking a lot of attention but avoidant and easily scared at the same time, so it is important to be patient with him at first. He is very sensitive to sudden movement or sounds, and may bark once or twice when he is spooked, otherwise a very quiet dog. Although he is very comfortable lounging around in the house, he also has the capacity for some intense exercise, so some jogging and / or game of fetch with a stick is recommended, otherwise he does not like to play with toys and would rather be petted for interaction. He likes attention and would go to you for it, but does not like to snuggle so it’s best not to hug him too much but give him a lot of petting throughout the day once he is settled in.
