Tramp *Must have another dog friend in the home* Terrier Plainfield, IL

Tramp is a 7 year old gentlemen looking for a home with another dog to keep him company. He has only know life as a "pair" and since losing his companion dog, he has suffered from separation anxiety when left home alone. The family does not wish to add another dog to the family. They worked with their vet to attempt to ease his anxiety, but nothing seemed to work. They made the decision to euthanize him instead.

We couldn't let that happen, when he is a good dog all around, healthy, happy and his only fault is he likes to have a canine or feline companion. This shouldn't be a death sentence.

If you have a buddy waiting at home or 2, or 3, Tramp would love to meet them and you. He is looking for a family who intends on having more than one dog and for him to never go through the trauma of feeling as though he is all alone in the world.

Tramp does best with children in grade school who know not to pull his ears, tail or stick things in his face.

4/16/2024 Update on Tramp: He is a fantastic dog, whatever behaviors he was exhibiting in his prior home are not showing in his foster home. He stays in the home with his foster resident dog and cat with no issues.

He likes to go for a ride in the car to pick up the fosters grandson and when the boy belts in the backseat there is Tramp to lay his head on his leg to snuggle.

We attended an adoption fair this past week and he walked about like a true gentlemen, greeting his fellow rescue dogs and humans alike. He walks on the lead like a breeze, listens when spoken to, exhibits a cool as cucumber aire as he walked past dozens of dogs.

Tramp is truly a great companion dog and his looks are so unique and charming.
