Meet Tonka
Tonka is quite the looker with his big square head and super muscular body- he's 65 solid pounds and only 1.5 years old, still puppy. HE IS A SUPER SOCIAL AND VERY SWEET BOY
This guy hasn’t met an adult person that he doesn’t love
He can jump a bit when first meeting a new friend, but settles quickly and focuses nicely.
He just finished a 8 week training program at Rikers Correctional Institute PAWS FOR PURPOSE program which was such an honor that he graduated. He knows basic obedience, but is very strong on the leash so that is still work in progress - a fenced yard is a must unless you have a safe green space and plan to work on is leash skills.
He can come on strong with other dogs, but is good with our females...but since we do not have any back history on him as he came in as a stray we are only comfortable placing him as an 'only dog.' With all of the love he has to give, he's all you'll need! The same goes for young children, 13 and up with past pit bull experience required
He would definitely benefit from an owner that is active and likes to have a dog to take hiking or play frisbee with or tug - He has a good amount of energy and that would have to be expended, but once he calms down he is ready to learn and very very focused. He's an amazing dog-
