TOFU! Silly & just Fantastic ! White German Shepherd & Husky Mix New York, NY

Tofu is literally the most positive, happy & fantastic dog. His foster mom calls him Tofurkey because he is such a ham (yeah she knows it doesn't make sense). He is only about 2 years old and weighs a 45 pounds ! He looks like a mini white shepherd!
Tofu had come a long way and has learned that the world is amazing! He loves to play in any type of water and enjoys going on adventures.
Tofu is currently in a foster home with 4 dogs of all sizes and a 1 pound kitten! He is house trained, slip-lead/leash trained, crate trained, and knows basic commands!

His foster mom says he is "highly intelligent and loves to have a job." Note his backpack photo! He is very proud and feels accomplished when he has his back pack on the walk, and his foster mom has him carrying small things on his walk! In this way is very shepherd like, but very friendly and is not a guarder or barker!

It's hard to tell but Tofu lost one of his legs and is a tripod -but you would NEVER KNOW IT! He runs and jumps higher then his four legged siblings. He teaches his foster parents everyday that living in the moment and loving the now is the best thing in the world. He is such an upbeat, positive and happy boy.
He actually loves activity - he is very active and loves his walks, hikes, playtime and lives in the moment! But then he loves to flop on the couch and enjoy a good snuggle and ear scratches.

He loves to run and play in the beach waves - so if you live near water-bonus points!
He also loves loves loves food so obedience/treat training is an easy one since he is very food motivated with food ! He is enjoying all the pups in his foster home and is great at play - very balanced and understands how to play nicely!

We can go on and on about this amazing happy positive boy!

We ask that you please make sure if interested in a puppy or high energy breed that you are ready for this time consuming/daily endeavor and have patience as this is a long term commitment (could be 15+ years). Please consider your future lifestyle after COVID.

Please make sure you are ready to properly exercise and give a dog all it needs for fulfillment. Your ongoing time and day-to-day commitment is the most important thing in caring for a dog.

In addition we cannot guarantee breed of any dog or expected adult size of a puppy. Please note that even house trained dogs will need help transitioning to an adopters home and schedule. Thank you for understanding.
