Tilly German Shepherd Dog & Labrador Retriever Mix League City, TX

Hi, I’m Tilly a really sweet, loving, smart, active youngster (estimated DOB is 3/6/2019) who loves everyone and everything. I’m an owner surrender because a nice person took in a pair of dogs and didn’t realize that the female was pregnant – so instead of 2 dogs the lady ended up with 8 and she was needing help in finding the puppies homes. Dad looked like a small German Shepard mix and mom looked like a small Yellow Lab mix. I'm learning so much in my foster home with other dogs and a foster who’s teaching me all kinds of things. I’m making great strides on my house training, but you will need to take me out often to go potty. I love water so much that I’ll put my feet in the water bowl to cool off in this hot weather. My foster got me a kiddy pool and I LOVE it a lot more than that small water dish. You'll need to be willing to give me lots of gentle guidance since I’m still a youngster, so I can learn all those big dog things, like how to behave in a house, what a crate is for, how to walk on a leash without pulling, and all those verbal commands every dog should know. I may even treat people like I treat my new best friend/dog with rough play or decide that paper left out, a new pair of shoes or a table leg would make a great chew toy, so a lot of appropriate toys should be in my future. The good news is that with the right training and LOTS of love, I'll be the best addition to your family ever and your best bud. A home with another dog would be great so we could run and play! When asked about my good points, my foster said EVERYTHING and that I’m a very happy-go-lucky girl who is a perfect best friend. Adopter for this dog must reside in the immediate Houston/Galveston area and be at least 25 years old. A home visit may be required prior to this dog going to any home.

The adoption fee for a dog is $190 (or $245 for puppies) which includes State of Texas sales tax.

Adoptions are held on Saturdays from 10:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. at the Clear Lake Petco, 2410 Bay Area Boulevard. All dogs are microchipped, on heartworm protection, spayed/neutered, vaccinated, de-wormed and treated for fleas. Since all of our dogs are in foster homes, an individual dog may not be at our weekly Adoption Event due to conflict with a foster's schedule.
