Thomas Border Collie Mix Jacksonville, IL

UPDATE: Sweet Thomas has been returned back to us and it was absolutely no fault of his own, he did what his breed does. He is a border collie mix, Border Collies are herding dogs, they get bored very easily and they will take it upon themselves to entertain themselves. Thomas has been in a foster home and has shown promising progress on potty training, no messes to document. He is very submissive with other dogs of both medium and large size, he gets along well with the foster moms resident dogs. He also loves to engage in play, he loves to boop and be chased. He is a little timid, but shows no aggression at all, around new people but with the right patience and time he will adjust well, males have been a bit harder for adjustment and we are unsure of the reason for that. His kennel has proven to be his safe place. He has shown some a bit more edge when household appliances such as things with handles. He shows no aggression towards cats either.

PAWS has 4 adorable siblings who are ready to head off to homes of their own. They are busy puppies as all puppies are. Given their breed, they are natural born herding dogs so they need to have a job. They can learn agility, how to play frisbee or fetch or herd a passel of kids. They vary in weights from about 15 pounds to a whopping 25 pounds. The adoption fee for each is $225. Thomas is the second to the biggest at roughly 24 pounds. He’s one of the big, brave boys.

All of our animals are provided with age appropriate vaccinations, spayed/neutered and microchipped prior to adoption. PAWS has added the H3N2/H3N8 combo flu vaccine to its shot protocol. Every dog is being vaccinated upon intake, however we urge adopters to get a second flu shot for their new family member to ensure as much protection against the flu as possible. This deposit is not refundable nor transferable.
