Meet Thea

PAWS is currently closed due to COVID-19. The animals are receiving the same high level of care as always. During this time, we are taking application over the phone. Until we can safely to resume normal operations, we will be taking deposits and doing adoptions by appointment only on Fridays and Saturdays from noon until 3. We know it’s difficult to choose a lifetime companion animal from a picture but it’s been working out well for our adopters and most importantly, for the animals in our care. The financial impact is obvious but we're committed to keeping our community and volunteers as safe as possible and providing the best of care for our animals. Any donations are greatly appreciated to help PAWS provided that care. Thank you.

Meet our girl Thea. She is a owner surrender at no fault of her own. Her owners didn't have enough time for her and felt she would do better in a home that could give her the attention she deserves. We are told that she gets along well with other dogs, cats, and children. Its stated that she is house broken, however any dog may have a few accidents going in to a new home. We are told that she has some anxiety when meeting new people, so its best to introduce her slowly. She doesn't show any type of aggression. She weighed 26.20 lbs back in October, but I'm sure she has packed on a few pounds since then. We believe Thea is a beagle mix. Her adoption fee is $175. If you are interested in Thea, call the office and put in an application.

All of our animals are provided with age appropriate vaccinations, spayed/neutered and microchipped prior to adoption.
PAWS has added the H3N2/H3N8 combo flu vaccine to its shot protocol. Every dog is being vaccinated upon intake, however we urge adopters to get a second flu shot for their new family member to ensure as much protection against the flu as possible.
To meet our incredible dogs and offer them the love they deserve, stop by PAWS on Friday, Saturday or Sunday from 10 - 4 PM, call us at 217-243-7297. We do applications in person or over the phone. You can also see pictures on our Facebook page, PAWS Jackson. With an approved application, a deposit will hold your new best friend for up to 1 week to allow you time to come to PAWS. This deposit is not refundable nor transferable.
