Meet Tex
Meet Tex! This handsome 2-year-old terrier mix weighs around 20 pounds and is a long-bodied low rider. Tex is a lower energy, calmer dog, but he does get excited when it’s chow time and he loves going for a walk. Tex adores his people and is a world class snuggler when he has the opportunity - he is eager to please and just loves hanging out with his peeps.
Tex came into rescue with very little in the way of manners, boundaries or training and quite a lot of confrontation with his sibling, who was none too pleased when he arrived as a puppy. His foster family has worked really hard on Tex’s skills and confidence level and he is now a happy and polite pup. Tex walks well on a leash and he is doing super with potty and crate training. Tex would do best as an only dog at this juncture in his life so we will be accepting applications from potential families who have no resident pets nor children under the age of teens.
If you would like to meet Tex, please go to www.newbestfriend.org and submit an adoption application. Our adoption fee is $300 and includes vaccinations, chip and neuter.
NOTE: We do not adopt outside the Greater Houston area.
