Meet Tessa!
A 3 year old beagle English bulldog mix. I guess one of them designer Mutts.
Beautiful dog indeed she is but..... Takes a very patient , willing, and very understanding person to adopt Tessa. Sadly she has had 3 homes and everyone quit as she was all over the map (she is much better now). She does it all and has no care as she does NOT HIDE WHEN DOING NAUGHTY THINGS.
She is a total sweet heart. Bless her heart! She is just mischievous as hell! We are working hard to eliminate those awful behaviors. All while on a strict diet and lots of exercise through out the day. In the last few months she has lost good weight (she was too fat), has learned, and accepts correction, and progress is being made with basic obedience training. She is great when asked to stay still for baths, nail trimming, teeth brushing, ear cleaning finally! She is cat, dog, and kid friendly too!
Tessa is house and crate trained, up to date on all appropriate core vaccines including lepto, rabies, dewormed, fecal tested negative, microchipped, neutered, and on monthly heartworm flea/tick prevention.

Out-of-state adopters are welcome at the adopter's expense. We do NOT ship and meet and greet are required before adoption unless you are a previous adopter.
Previous adopters of AHRs have the first choice and are not expected to pay another adoption fee again. Donation of their choice is welcomed.
Training is an ongoing process that needs to be worked on daily. New issues and opportunities arise daily that have to be addressed and or rewarded. Continued training is a must.
