Ted Hound & Shepherd Mix Brooklyn, NY

My name is Ted, and I’m a 1 year old, 80 pound happy big boy. I'm new to New York City, and I love it here! I’m originally from Tennessee and my foster parents think I’m a Coonhound Hound- Australian Shepherd mix because of my big paws, floppy ears, and beautiful silky coat. When I’m not lounging in the sunlight or cuddling with my foster mom, I can be found out on a walk wagging my tail, smiling at the neighbors, and trying to give kisses. I’m still learning my commands, but I’m house trained, sleep in my crate, come when called, and walk fairly well if I’m wearing my front lead harness. I need someone who is okay with big dogs, because sometimes I might pull a little too hard if there’s a friendly dog walking by. I just love to play! I have a sophisticated palate and I'm a bit of a snob when it comes to my treats. My favorites are cheese and bits of chicken, but honestly, I prefer head scratches and sweet-talk over any treats. I adore other dogs, especially my foster brother, and just want to play and snooze in the sun all day. Life is good, but it would be even better in my forever home!

All of our dogs come spayed or neutered, fully up to date on vaccinations, including rabies (if age appropriate) and bordetella, are microchipped, heartworm negative, current on flea/tick and heartworm prevention, dewormed, and treated for any ailments found upon veterinary examination. The adoption fee covers a portion of these services, and makes it possible for us to continue rescuing animals.
