Meet Tara

Tara is a 2-4 year old mixed breed girl. She was surrendered to our local animal shelter, so pregnant they were worried she would birth at any time. We quickly moved her to a foster home and allowed her to birth there. Shortly after, she contracted a severe case of Mastitis. That is completely healed now and her puppies are weaned. She has a spay upcoming and will be spayed before transitioning to a new home.

Although her breed is an educated guess, based on characteristics, she does have the nature of a herding dog. Therefore, we are not interested in adopting her to a home with small children. Herding dogs often get pushy with small children or can knock them down, accidentally.

Tara is a sweet girl and she is very smart. She is crate and house trained. She would love to join a caring family and bring them years of joy.
