Tammi is a very special young lady. At the tender age of 4, she has been through a lot and eventually ended up in a shelter. She was so thin that every bone was visible. In her weeks with Hero, she has come a very long way not only with her weight, but with her confidence as well. She Plays very well with other dogs, lets you know when she needs to go outside and loves with her whole heart. We are still working on leash manners but with practice, she’ll master this skill. Although her foster has no children, when Tammi met young people at one of our adoption events, she was very good with them. She is great in a crate and is an all around good girl. Tammi will play for spurts but her favorite activity is laying on a sofa or chair as close to her person as she can possibly get. If you are looking for a companion dog, Tammi is your girl, at around 40lbs, she’s a great size! Tammi is spayed and up to date on all vaccines. Please consider making Tammi part of your family!

Your Current Pets - We do require that your current dogs and cats are current on vaccines and spayed/neutered.

Adoptions - We do not have a shelter and are a foster-home based organization. We do require that you have an approved adoption application to schedule a meet and greet. You can fill out an adoption application on our website, www.herorescue.org/adopt. Once your application is approved it will be sent to the foster family that is currently caring for the dog. They will be able to provide information on likes, dislikes, personality, etc. They will also schedule a time for you to meet the dog. We do require a home visit prior to adoption.
