Meet Talia
Foster Update: Talia is a social butterfly in our home, moving between dogs and humans. She is playful, goofy, joyful, creative and smart. She loves to go for active, long walks and short runs - but also enjoys quiet time. She loves to sleep in between me and my husband on the bed and is very quiet while sleeping. She will rest her head on your lap - looking for a connection. She is athletic and bouncy - like Tigger. She is easy to train and is very flexible. She lives with a male and female dog and is drama free with them. She shares toys, food, bones, beds - and anything else. She is affectionate toward them and is able to keep them both calm. She has been fostered with a dog-savvy 4-year-old for a few days with success.
Talia is leash trained, crate trained, and potty trained. Commands she knows include sit, lie down and heel. She is quiet in the home and rarely barks. She likes being outside - but also loves being an indoor dog.
She has a high prey-drive for things like squirrels and rabbits. She takes about a day to warm up to a new family, but after that she is good to go. She can easily hop a 6-foot fence, so care should be taken to keep an eye on her when bringing her home initially. She generally is not seeking to run, but has hopped out after squirrels, and when she got to her new temporary foster home. She has been to very crowded areas like coffee shops and Home Depot. She does okay, but gets a little nervous. She will generally lie down and stay quiet in that scenario.
