PAWS has recently been given the opportunity to find homes for several Shiba Inus. Most are girls with only 2 handsome boys at this time. Shiba Inus can be great family pets given time, attention and consistency, not to mention tons of love. Shiba’s are strong-willed, energetic little dogs. They think you’re lucky to have them and they’re right. This lovely lady is 10 year old Takara with her gorgeous coat of sesame and cream. Takara is our biggest girl weighing 30 pounds. We have discovered that she will do best in a home without children. They move fast, make squeaky noises and scare her to pieces. So no kiddos please. Her adoption fee is $150.

PLEASE NOTE; Great care must be taken to ensure your Shiba Inu is securely fenced in and monitored when outside. Exterior doors have to be kept closed tightly. We would recommend a home with older kids or adults who are conscientious about doors, gates and the like. These dogs are known runners and once they are loose, catching them is not easy. Prior experience with the breed would be helpful. Crating the dogs when unattended is a good idea for their security.

All of our animals are provided with age appropriate vaccinations, spayed/neutered and microchipped prior to adoption. PAWS has added the H3N2/H3N8 combo flu vaccine to its shot protocol. Every dog is being vaccinated upon intake, however we urge adopters to get a second flu shot for their new family member to ensure as much protection against the flu as possible. This deposit is not refundable nor transferable.
