Survivor AKA Ajax Pit Bull Terrier Mix Elburn, IL

Meet Survivor - or Ajax as his foster family calls him!
Survivor aka Ajax (Greek warrior and hero) is a sweet, 6 month old, Pitbull mix, male, puppy who loves life. He is super cuddly and loves to play and go for walks. Ajax had a pretty rough start but he lives up to his name. He loves being around people and can be nervous at first around dogs but once he warms up to them he loves to play and cuddle.

Ajax is a really smart boy who is quick to learn tricks, and is getting a hang on potty training quickly. So far he knows how to sit, lie down, and paw and uses bells to tell us when he needs to go outside.

He sleeps in a crate without making a sound and keeps his crate clean. He is always there for the attention. Ajax can be a bit timid at first but is open to learning to love his new life.

Ajax is a pretty energetic dog who loves to run around, play with his foster moms dogs, go for walks, and play with toys. He has warmed the hearts of everyone he has met.

His pictures don't show just how adorable he is! Black dogs are very difficult to photograph. He has shiny fur and soulful eyes and is as handsome as can be.

Our standard adoption fee is $375 cash or check and $385 credit card ($10 processing fee). . It includes spay/neuter when age appropriate at our participating vets, age appropriate core vaccinations, fecal testing, deworming, flea and tick preventative,1st vet visit at one of our participating vets, and micro-chipping.

We must have an application, conduct a phone interview, and meet your entire family to approve an adoption. Applications will not be reviewed unless fully completed. An application does not commit you to adopting and does not guarantee adoption but does allow us to begin the review process.

Please consider becoming a foster home while you search for your new best friend. We need foster homes - pounds are overflowing with puppies and adult dogs that are at-risk and need help. We can only rescue as many as we have foster home commitments. Fostering is a rewarding experience for your family.
