Meet Sunshine — an energetic and friendly two-year-old Border Collie mix that is looking for her forever home.

Sunshine is a happy-go-lucky dog that loves to meet new people and soak up all the attention (and belly rubs) she can get!

True to her breed mix, Sunshine thrives on activity and human interaction. Her energy level is high, so she's looking for an adopter who can match her zest for life and engage in active and stimulating play. When she isn’t taking her foster family on long walks around the neighbourhood, Sunshine loves playing with her favorite toys and chewing on bones.

The ideal home for Sunshine would be with someone who is willing to invest a bit of time into training her and who has the energy to keep up with her. She would be the perfect companion for an active individual or family who can provide her with the physical and mental stimulation that she craves (followed by lots of cuddles).

Due to the jealousy she has displayed around the other dogs in her foster home, we think she’d prefer to be an only dog. Like many collies, she has a strong prey drive, and her herding instinct does lead to her to mouth at humans and lightly nip when seeking attention. Her fosters are working to curb this behaviour, but it will require ongoing training. An adult-only home would be best, although Sunshine is excellent with children and would be happy to have young visitors on occasion.
