Hi, my name is Summer! I'm a GREEN pawprint, which means I will fit well into a home that meets some specific criteria. Here is what would work best for me in my new home:

-Personality: Active, playful, energetic, friendly, whip-smart!

-Can Live with Kids: Summer lived successfully with kids in her previous home and should be fine doing so again. Her previous owner reported that she can be a little rough in play so sturdy, dog-savvy children would be best. We're recommending ages 8+.

-Can Live with Cats: Summer's previous owner said she's been known to chase small animals and would likely do best in a cat-free home, or one with a very confident, dog-savvy cat who can stand up for themselves.

-Can Live with Dogs: Yes! Summer LOVES romping around with her friends in daily playgroup at WHS and would likely really benefit from a home with another active, energetic dog in the home. Initial intros done at WHS!

-Can do Apartment Living: Not recommended-- this high energy lady would much prefer a home with a yard.

-Potty Trained: Yes

-Bite History: No

-Positive Reward Based Obedience Classes Required: No

-Energy Level: High!!

-Needs Medical Procedure Before Going Home: Spay/microchip
-Additional Information: Summer is a super smart Lab mix with a passion for tennis balls! This friendly, eager-to-please gal would thrive in a home that can help her burn off some energy, both mental and physical. She's a dog that would excel with some sort of job to do-- activities like nosework would be right up her alley! Summer already knows a bunch of tricks (sit, shake, lay down, roll over, spin, speak) and is always ready to learn more! She would be a great match for an ACTIVE adopter who spends their time hiking, running, jogging, etc-- this energizer bunny is not much of a couch potato (although she does love to snuggle once she's had her fill of exercise!) Summer was surrendered to the shelter due to a change in family situation, and now she's ready to find a forever family to call her own!
