We saw sweet Sumalee on a visit to Chicago Animal Care and Control and instantly fell in love with her! This middle age beauty is on the larger side so we have started her on a diet and her foster mom is determined to get her down ten lbs-- they are halfway there as Sumi has already lost 5 lbs in her foster home!

She is actually very playful too-- she likes playdates with her dog friends, and chasing balls! Sumi lives with a young Golden Retriever and can definitely keep up with him.

We also took Sumalee to swim class at Splash Dog recently not sure how she would take to the water... and she loved it! Check out her videos to see for yourself! This special girl will make a wonderful addition to a home.

Sumi's main foster mom adores her and says, "She's awesome, good napper during the day, 100% potty trained, went in a 3 mile walk yesterday and could have gone further. She is free roam whenever I leave the house, and does not get into trouble at all. I babysat a 5 month old baby and Sumi was amazing with her, a lot of kisses! She will do well anywhere, she's a gentle giant!"

Sumi has had a couple of temporary fosters while with us as well, when her main foster mom goes out of town. Sumi has so far also been fostered in a high rise elevator building downtown and done great, a home with young children, and with a tiny chihuahua and done well too! Sumi is so adaptable and amazing, we cannot believe she has been with us for over two months now. Please inquire about her today!

Sumalee's adoption fee is $250. This animal is spayed, up to date on core vaccines, and Heartworm negative.
