Sadly, she suffered an injury to her spine that left her paralyzed. After laser treatments and many other heartfelt efforts to try and help her, her family tearfully made the ultimate loving sacrifice and surrendered their beloved baby girl to ATDR so that she could receive the even more costly care she needed. Sugar Buns has been given stem cells and other specialized IVDD treatments at Safari Veterinary Care Center and in-house physical therapy there that appears to be having good results. Sugar Buns is a sweet and loving girl who freely gives kisses to those she meets. She's so deserving of having a normal life again where she can move around and enjoy life. She now is able to walk albeit a little wobbly but she flies around the house and yard like she is the queen! She uses the doggie door and mostly controls her bladder unless she can't quite get to the door or pad in time - but it isn't the end of the world. She knows she needs to go outside she just doesn't always make it in time. The kind of care she's received at Safari is very costly, but with the help of kind-hearted generous animal lovers like all of you ATDR is able to save precious pups life Sugar Buns.
