Meet Stevie
Stevie came into Handsome Dan's Rescue like a wrecking ball, literally, because he’s as big as one!
He is currently in our Shelter Dog Enrichment program where he is matching with volunteers Rianna and Rachael.
Stevie’s going to be adoption-ready once he has his surgery on 4/25 surgery and is healed. You see, with some bully breeds, especially brachycephalic (smushy-faced) ones, there is a chance of Brachycephalic Airway Syndrome. Which means Stevie's soft palate, the soft part of the roof of his mouth, is too long for his mouth, and blocks a part of his airway, causing it to be difficult to breathe.
Long story short, stay tuned for more on this lovable big lug!
