I was born on Sept. 21, 2022.

WHAT BREED ARE YOU?

I am a French Bulldog.

HOW MUCH DO YOU WEIGH?

I weigh approximately 21 pounds. A little nugget!

WHAT DO YOU LOOK LIKE?

I am the most handsome gentleman! I have a black and caramel brindle coat with the sweetest brown eyes. My cleft lip is just adorable (if I do say so myself) and makes my smile guaranteed to melt your heart.

WHAT DO YOU LIKE TO EAT?

Because of my cleft palate, I stick to my kibble and I LOVE IT! I should not eat any soft food and, quite frankly, I don’t even know what the fuss is since I have never had it. I am totally happy to eat my kibble as training treats throughout the day.

WHAT KIND OF PERSONALITY DO YOU HAVE?

I am super spunky! I am always in a great mood and ready to play. I love to explore new places. I play a lot, but I also LOVE my sleepy time! I love to cuddle as much as I can… human or dog, it’s all good. I just love being close to others.

DESCRIBE YOUR PERFECT DAY:

First, it is potty time! Next, I get to eat breakfast and then it is time for a walk to explore the world. After my walk, it is definitely PLAY TIME! Then when my friends and I are all tuckered out, I settle down for a long, fabulous nap. I wake up for potty breaks and maybe some yard exploration, but I am totally content to hang out and sleep most of the day. In the evening, it is dinner time, play time, and then more sleepy time! I’m a simple guy with simple pleasures.

WHAT IS YOUR FAVORITE TOY?

My absolute favorite toy is a little Kong tire that I hang out with every time I am lying down. I always fall asleep with it in my mouth—like a big pacifier! I also love Benebones and tennis balls! I will chase whatever toy is rolled across the floor for me.

DO YOU KNOW ANY TRICKS?

Yes! I am such a smart boy! I know sit, shake, down, spin, high five, peekaboo, paws up on a platform, leave it, and lots of other super fun tricks! it. I look forward to my tricks training every night because I just love to learn (and I love treats, obviously)!

WHAT SCARES YOU?

Nothing! I am a brave, happy-go-lucky boy!

HAVE YOU BEEN AROUND CHILDREN? DO YOU LIKE THEM?

I have been around kids of all sizes, and I love EVERYONE! I am gentle and cuddly so there are no concerns about whether I will be a good boy with children.

DO YOU LIKE CATS?

I have not been around cats.

HOW DO YOU FEEL ABOUT OTHER DOGS?

Oh boy, doggy friends are the BEST! I play well with big dogs and little dogs. I love to have playmates to run around with!

IF YOU COULD BE ANYWHERE IN THE WORLD, WHERE WOULD IT BE?

I will be happy anywhere, as long as I can be with my forever family who will love me, feed me, and cuddle with me.

HOW IS YOUR HEALTH?

I have a cleft palate and cleft lip, but that just makes me look adorable and really only affects the types of food that I eat. Also, I am on medicine to help control seizures because there’s some funny wiring in my head that sometimes goes on the fritz. But the medicine has been really helpful and, thankfully, those things don’t happen very much anymore. And, from what the humans around me have said, the medication is not very expensive (less than $30 per month), so that aspect of my future medical care will not be a significant financial burden. But I do need someone who understands my special needs. I think my special needs make me that much more special! And foster mom says, “He is SO worth it,” and I agree with her!

WHO DO LIVE WITH IN YOUR FOSTER HOME AND WHO IS YOUR CLOSEST COMPANION?

I live with my foster mom and I have two doggy foster sisters and a doggy foster brother. I would say my favorite companion is my foster mom because she feeds me, teaches me how to be a good puppy, and keeps me safe. My second closest companion is my foster sister who is another Frenchie and we love to play every chance we get.

WHERE DO YOU HANG OUT WHEN YOU ARE HOME ALONE?

I have a super comfy pen where I am safe and cozy.

WHERE DO YOU SLEEP?

I sleep in my cozy pen.

DO YOU LIKE WALKING ON A LEASH?

I am SO good on my walks! Walks are one of my favorite things to do!

DO YOU HAVE ANY “NOT SO GREAT” HABITS THAT WE SHOULD KNOW ABOUT? FOR INSTANCE, DO YOU BARK OR DIG IN THE YARD?

There’s nothing “not so great” about me! I am just fabulous (yeah, I am bragging on myself again)!

ARE YOU HOUSE TRAINED? (MEANING, DO YOU GO POTTY OUTSIDE?)

Did I mention how smart I am? Yeah, I have the whole potty training thing mastered.

DO YOU LIKE WATER?

Water is great to drink, but that’s about the end of my affection for it. I am a good boy in the bath, but if I had my choice, I would skip that altogether. I do not swim, so I should not be around pools or spas to keep me safe.

WHAT DO YOU LOVE ABOUT YOUR FOSTER FAMILY?

I get lots of love from my foster mom and I get to play as much as possible with my doggy foster siblings.

WHAT WAS YOUR LIFE LIKE BEFORE BEING BROUGHT INTO NORCAL BULLY BREED RESCUE?

Because of my cleft palate and lip, I was surrendered by a breeder when I was first born. So for my whole little life, I have been lucky to have the nurturing and love provided to me by NBBR.
