Stella (Spayed) Pit Bull Terrier Mix Marietta, OH

Stella is a beautiful 2-year old female Pit Bull Terrier mix who was surrendered by her owner on February 9, 2024. Stella had been rescued by her family, but she did not get along with the family's other dog which resulted in physical altercations between the two dogs.

Stella has a pale brown short smooth coat with a subtle brindle pattern, a long tail, and an adorable face with dark brown eyes, a milk chocolate nose, and cute 'folded-over' ears.

Stella is up-to-date on vaccinations (including rabies vaccines) and diagnostic tests results are negative for Heartworm, Ehrlichia, Lyme, and Anaplasma.

Thanks to HSOV Kennel Tech Kathryn Rea for spending time with Stella on the afternoon of February 10th 2024 so that she could have her Petfinder/Facebook/Adoptapet photos taken. Stella was a little leery of the paparazzi and couldn't figure out what that contraption was (i.e., camera with a telephoto lens) that the photographer kept pointing at her, but Stella took beautiful photos in spite of her apprehension.

One of our brave HSOV shelter mascot kitties decided that he would also 'get in the act' and did his best to taunt Stella while she was having her glamour photos taken. So the kitty was content to just photobomb a few pictures instead.

Stella weighs 43 lbs.

Our kennel techs will be assessing Stella's behavior around other shelter dogs to determine if she is aggressive with all other dogs or if she is 'dog selective' and only chooses which dogs she gets along with.

UPDATE: Stella was spayed on March 12, 2024 and was also given rabies vaccine.
