Meet Stella!
Stella is a 3 year old Shepherd mix now available for pre-adoption! Poor Stella had quite the journey to get to us and get on the road to the good life with her future family. She was spotted as a dumped stray at a gas station in a busy area. She was filthy, starving, and so scared that she wouldn't let anyone catch her at first. Experienced trappers stepped in and helped humanely capture Stella. Stella has been the sweetest girl from the start, and we don't understand how someone could fail an awesome gal like her so terribly. She is shy in new situations so will likely require help and patience getting comfortable at first in a new home. Stella wants you to know that she is great with kids, cats, and other dogs - she is also smart on top of being incredibly loving. She is crate/house trained, has excellent leash manners, and knows some basic commands already. Stella is currently fostered near Cedar Rapids, IA.
Stella is HW positive, which unfortunately is common in Texas dogs that have not received preventative medicine. The good news is we have started her on part one of treatment and she will finish with fast kill injections before transporting. She is now available for pre-adoption while completing treatment. **Since most of our animals are found as strays, we cannot guarantee breed or age. Breed and age are decided based on our experience as well as veterinarian advice**
