Starla, Female, 3yrs, Terrier mix, 40lbs

Starla is a shy, sensitive girl, working on confidence building. She had been returned to us after a year and half, due to adaptability issues in the home. Unfortunately though we tried multiple times to assist, the adopters were not honest about the catalyst for much of the issues. There were apparently domestic issues in the home, to what extent we are unsure. We however, witnessed extreme yelling and combative behavior. This was predominately displayed by the husband. Due to this she never took to the husband and was fearful of him. Ultimately after witnessing this behavior, we did not and could not leave her there another day.

Starla is unsure of herself, though she wants to make friends. She has not displayed that she has any distinct issues with men, after be taken from the home. She is however head shy.

Starla needs a quite home and though she is good with children, she would do best without any young kids in the home.

She does love to run and enjoys her toys. With proper time and understanding, we believe she will blossom in to a very loyal and loving companion.

She is crate trained and has good house manners. With proper introductions, she has done well with other dogs.

Starla needs an experienced adopter, that is local to the Saint Louis, MO metro area.

Starla's adoption fee is $250, she is up to date and fully vetted.
