Spirit came into care from the NWT. She is a Husky Northern breed mix and will be a large dog when full grown. She is a very sweet puppy and is currently in foster care in Nanaimo with 2 full grown Huskies. She was born on March 22 2023 and was in care with the NWT SPCA before being transferred to our rescue on Vancouver Island. The northern shelters need help with their intake of dogs and puppies as they are overrun. Foster mom says Spirit is almost house trained as her 2 dogs are showing her how its done! She has a beautiful coat of fur and will need to be brushed often. She really loves her foster mom and is eager to learn how to be the bestest puppy she can be. As all puppies need, Spirit will need to continue with positive reinforcement training and socialization. She will be spayed at 6 months of age and this surgery with preanesthetic blood work is included with the adoption fee.
