Behavior Observation: (412) Pulls hard on leash, showed very little interest in toys, engaged slightly with assessor. Allowed handling with a loose body. Walked on leash and pulling subsided slightly. He began leash biting as we started to enter the building. Did not respond to treats but saw a KA and dropped the leash.(4/1/20) Per Vet Staff -- Animals behavior precludes actually PE(10/20/19) Volunteer Note -- Easy to leash and remove from kennel. Harnessed. Went into play yard, after leash was dropped, Sozay picked up leash and began playing with it. Was able to redirect with cheese and "sit". When tried to leave run, began leash biting: tug-o-war all the way from yard to kennel. At one moment saw dog and dropped leash, but then continued leash biting. KA came to assist, the presence of another person distracted Sozay and he dropped the leash.+Bite Details+Dog lives in owner's garage. Dog is chained when people are in and working in the garage. It was the end of the day and the owner unchained the dog because they do that at the end of the workday, when no one is in the garage. Owner opened door that connected the office to the garage, dog was behind door as owner opened it and then the dog jumped and started attacking owner's left side. Dog did not draw blood because owner was wearing a vest so dog only chewed through the vest. Owner twisted his vest / jacket off and left the garage. Owner's friend was still in the room with the dog and was trying to close the door that the owner originally opened. The dog jumped and bit friends left forearm.Was able to speak to owner. While owner did not have photos, the bite as described to me sounds like a level 3. Incident was a single bite with no deep punctures and lacerations were only extended due to owner pulling Sozay back.
