Soren Cane Corso Mix Rochester, NY

Soren is a 6 year old Mastiff that was rescued from the city shelter, after likely having spent his life living outside. Soren is a big boy, around 100lbs now after putting back on some healthy weight. He would be considered a senior for his age and breed, but the good life has just begun for him! He is a sweet old guy that just wants to be loved. He can be a little demanding of affection, but who can blame him after what his life was previously. We would prefer he goes to a home with breed or XL dog experience so they can continue to work with him. He has made progress with crate training and house training - he has even started to use the bells to signal he has to go out! A fully fenced yard has been greatly beneficial for this. He also walks well on a leash! Soren is cat-friendly, and we believe he would be kid-friendly too. It would be best for him to be the only dog to get all the love and attention, but he has also proven that with the right match and slow intros he can coexist happily with another dog.
