Sonny Carisi Yorkshire Terrier Mix Palatine, IL

Calling all fans of “Law & Order,” we’ve got your Sonny Carisi right here; although, his name should be spelled “Sunny” because he is a bundle of sunshine and happiness! This 9-year old, 8-lb Yorkie mix has incredible energy and endurance for his age. He loves to take long walks despite the fact that he needs to have surgery to repair his torn ACL.

Sonny likes a moderate amount of snuggling, not on your lap but right next to you. He wants to be with his humans, following you from room to room. He’ll quietly sleep in his crate at night and not make noise in the morning, letting you catch a few extra ZZZs when you need to.

He may be feline-size but he is not feline-friendly. But dogs are totally fine with him. Sonny would love a home where someone can be around through most of the day to let him out when he needs and help him with house and crate training. Reward Sonny with small bits of chicken or turkey, or anything easy for him to chew considering he recently had 18 teeth removed. Don’t worry, he still has 11 teeth remaining and is feeling much better!
