Sonny Labrador Retriever Portland, OR

SONNY! Sonny is a senior Labrador Retriever. He was found tied to a tree after his person passed away and it is thought he spent most of his life tied to the tree. He is 78 lbs, around 10 yrs old and very mellow. Yep, he is a sweet, sweet guy and some might call him perfect!

Sonny might have been tied to a tree when found but he is house trained, he likes other dogs and loves people. He does great in the car, goes for walks or hikes (he has built up strength and muscle tone at his foster home but he is still a senior boy). He has done well with older children. He is great with cats (currently lives with three). He is quiet and mellow.

Sonny’s perfect home will have a person or family who loves senior dogs like we do. He had his full senior dog veterinary work up (the rescue can tell you all about it) and he is ready for his forever home. Sonny doesn’t have many teeth left so his foster mom softens his kibble with water. Sonny’s favorite things are walks, naps on a big fluffy bed and of course his meals. A simple guy that needs a loving person or family.

Note: Sonny was found tied in the same yard as Abigail another sweet dog also in the rescue. We separated them a month ago to see how they would do in different foster homes and they have done great. They do both love the other dogs in their foster homes but Sonny would be fine as an only dog.

Sonny has had his dental, blood work, vaccinations, heart wormed tested, has been neutered, de-wormed, had flea treatment, and is microchipped. Her adoption fee is $300 (our senior adoption fee).
