Meet Sid and Nancy—-Bonded Pair

Sid and Nancy
This bonded pair of lab/husky mixes are such an awesome package! Sid is a very distinguished gentleman, who almost always lays with his adorable spotted paws crossed and paired with his stunning silvery chocolate coat-which is maybe the softest ever-he looks as debonair as his personality. He is on the quiet side but such a sweet boy, loves to be loved and given attention. While, Nancy is an outgoing and ready to rumble kind of gal. Her coat and body seem more lab like-slick longer jet black hair-with the most beautiful pair of golden eyes! She absolutely loves the water and anytime the temp is 80 or above she will be found -hippo style- lounging in one of the puppy pools. These two are a good balance of enough energy to hike or trip to the beach but laid back enough to lounge as well. They are guessed to be around 3 years old, have been with CAFA for the past two years or so- waiting patiently for their forever home. They are typical siblings with their love and playfulness-then their spats over a toy or getting on each others nerves. Sid tends to look to Nancy for security and confidence, but she relies on him at times as well. They were found together starved down to bones dumped out on a local road notorious for dog dumping-but have since been given so much love and affection those terrified bones pups are just a bad memory. They get along great with other adult dogs-Sid is a little too distinguished for the younger crowd-but Nancy shows him making new friends is fun. They can be shy at first but warm up with patience and treats. ? They know basic commands, are leash trained, and do well in the car. They tend to be nervous at first when loading up -I’m guessing from being hauled off (it’s left a bit of a scarring memory), but love to go to Petsmart and tractor supply to get treats. They have been around older kids-mostly 12-14 year old boys. Have some fear of fireworks and gun shots, but definitely have overcome major anxiety issues with that since they’ve been on the farm. Sid and Nancy have made friends with horses and a cow, are interested in cats but never shown aggression-Nancy did chase the cat once but was licking her face and wanting to play. Nancy loved to play fetch while Sid lays around chewing on a stick nearby. They both love to play tug of war with each other and other foster pup friends. These two are fantastic dogs that are just waiting for that kindhearted, warm and patient family to love and spoil them for the rest of their lives.

Adoption details:
In some instances, a meet and greet is not possible before adoption unless we have a foster home in New England available. Available for a Meeting confirms the dog is in a NE Foster home and available for a meeting in the city state provided. Most times our dogs get adopted before a foster home becomes available - and if so, they go straight to adopters home. Foster parents talk to adopters and feel confident that this will be a match before our dogs are transported up. Also if by some chance it is not a match we have a safety net in place as we ask that adopters to let us know that it is not a match and we direct you to take the dog to a foster home or boarding kennel once that is arranged. If necessary, we will ask you to foster the dog until a foster home can be arranged.
Transport details:Rescue Road Trips (rescueroadtrips.com), Pets LLC (petsllc.net) or CAFA Transport will deliver our precious pups on commercial rescue animal transport to designated locations. The fee is 225.00 which IS INCLUDED in your adoption fee already.**Rescue Road Trips, was featured on The Today Show - view it at http://www.today.com/video/today/55034556#55034556

If the dog is in a foster home in MA or NH, this fee will be added in the adoption fee regardless of where the adopters home is located making the total adoption fee $720.00 for puppies and adults $540.00 for Seniors, otherwise the full adoption fee for all other states is $590.00 for puppies and adults and $415.00 for seniors.
