Meet SHAY

Hi hi hi! I’m Shay! I’m an extremely food motivated and busy girl. I’m still a young pup and need good rules to follow. I am extremely smart. I am potty trained and already know how to sit and shake. We are still working on laying down. Being in a crate is no problem but I’d rather be playing or cuddling with my people. My foster mom works from home and I love laying by her feet. Before being saved by Journey Home I wasn’t provided food on a regular basis. I was protective of my food and toys right away but my foster mom has worked on helping me feel safe and secure. I am feeling more comfortable sharing toys with my foster siblings each day. I love playing fetch and running around the yard. I am excited to have a home of my very own.

I am looking for an adopter that can continue to work with me and teach me that I don't need to worry about ever going without a meal again. I currently want to protect things I eat and I don't need to. So, I will need to be kenneled when eating and worked with daily on resource guarding. Luckily, I am incredibly smart and food motivated.
