Sequoia is ready to find his furever family! We believe Sequoia to be a Mastiff mix, currently weighing around 75lbs, with an estimated date of birth of November 2022. Sequoia hitched a ride to our shelter after a good samaritan found him roaming this big world by himself. He is a large boy with lots of strength and plenty of energy. He does pretty well leash walking unless he gets very excited, and then he does pull. He will definitely need a human companion who is strong enough to handle him when he does get excited and someone who can be patient with working on leash walking skills with him. Once he meets you and knows he is in good hands, he is very sweet and affectionate! He really enjoys time out in our fenced in dog run. He love running around and fetching toys. He is a very smart boy, already knowing the basic commands 'sit', 'shake' and 'down'. Sequoia loves treats so he would do great with learning new commands and tricks. Since arriving here he has done a great job keeping his kennel nice and clean. He very rarely has an accident as long as he is walked/goes outside on a regular basis. Right now because he is still quite young and is a larger dog, he is known to be a clumsy goofball at times, so a home with no smaller kids would most likely be the best for him. Our adoption fees vary, Shelter Dogs are $180, Prison Dogs are $250, Puppies are $300, and Popular Pure-Breeds are $400. The price includes: a Home Again Microchip, set of shots, de-worming, heartworm testing (if old enough), spay or neuter, and a 1 year rabies shot (if old enough). All dogs adopted must leave with a county license at an additional cost of $17, this fee is cash only. Adoption fees can be done using credit card or cash.
