Meet Scout

Meet Scout. He is a 4-year-old Shepherd mix we recently transferred in from Porter County AC. Scout had been there since mid-October of last year, so we're hoping he may get a better shot at a home at LSP. Scout is a special needs dog. He is blind in both eyes due to a birth defect. He has a strong sense of smell and hearing, which helps him get around better. That being said, he is the gentlest soul and so friendly with everybody he meets. He would probably do best with older kids, so he does not get overwhelmed. Scout will need to be the only dog in the home as other dogs have been too overwhelming for him. Scout would love for a family to love him for who he is, and not judge him based on his disability. Does he sound like a good fit for you?
