Saria Pit Bull Terrier Philadelphia, PA

Saria ACCT-A-161665 is a 4-year-old female who came in as a stray on 4/11. Staff later made contact with her original owner, who reported that they were breeding her, had never taken her to the vet, and refused to get her fixed. At the shelter, she has been noted to be a bit timid but very sweet!


Per Day Trip 4/14: She was timid and scared at first but soon learned to trust me. She was friendly to adults, children and dogs. She had a great day at the park. She walked very calmly on the leash and didn't pull. If she got scared I just stopped and waited till she was ready to go again. She was scared of the water at first but became very curious and loved going in by the end of the day. She is a sweet , gentle lady with a beautiful brown coat and yellow in her eyes.
During a behavioral assessment on 4/12 staff noted: "Shy but sweet. Warms up pretty quickly with time and pets, go low and slow at first.

Per volunteer on 4/13: "Please take her out of her kennel. You will see a completely (and wonderfully) different dog outside.
