Sandy Mixed Breed Madison, WI

It might take a bit to earn this beautiful girls trust, but when you do she will melt your heart. Sandy was being picked on by other dogs in a southern shelter before catching her ride up North. You would never know it when you see her with other dogs. She gets her confidence from other dogs so she needs a medium to high energy dog sibling to show her the way.

She LOVES to run in the yard, sniffing and chasing her four canine foster siblings. When first meeting Sandy she is very shy with new people, however after a few weeks she is just one of the family. Sandy likes to chew on toys/bones and is learning basic commands. She is currently in daycare since her foster parents have long work hours and she is doing great attending daycare!

Sandy is working through some separation anxiety so ideally her new family works from home or continues her in daycare. She is still a puppy so she will need a family to help teach her to be a good doggie citizen. When she is excited and/or nervous she shows her super cute smile. This smile is rare in dogs and making her extra special. (It's called a submissive grin)

Sandy takes treats gentle when reminded and is ready to learn new things. After some play, or a long day at daycare, Sandy just wants to snuggle up on the couch for some love. At night she prefers to start in the human bed for a few some more snuggles and a little belly rub before making her way to her dog bed.

Sweet Sandy deserves a loving family to call her own. Give her some time, patience and love, and this little girl will show you the fun and sweet girl she is.
