Sambo Vizsla Rochester, NY

SAMBO is just under 50 lbs of handsome, sweet dog! He looks to maybe have some vizsla in him, and has a bobbed tail. He's been good with dogs outside his home, but needs to be the only dog IN his home. Sambo is very protective over his area, and is food aggressive only in his crate. Sambo really needs an adult only home and no other animals (dogs or cats), but he'll be a great companion to the right person/people. Sambo has a lot of energy and needs exercise and to stay busy, or he has a tendency to chew and shred things is he's not given enough exercise and things to keep him busy. He does have a fun personality. He adores his squeaky toys but, you guessed it, they don't last too long! He's housetrained about 75% at this point. He can NOT be around cats as he will "hunt" and hurt them.

Adoption fee covers: all vetting to age (including deworming, deflea etc ), spay/neuter and microchip after 6 months of age at our clinic, $60 rebate for completion of positive-based training classes, and lifetime support of rescue.

We are still doing application processing virtually since COVID-19 and dog meets will be individually by appointment with ONLY APPROVED APPLICANTS. We are not a shelter and are completely foster-based, so there are NO DOGS KEPT AT THE SHOP.

PLEASE NOTE: If a dog is listed as Adoptable, he or she is still available at that time. Also, our adoption area is within a several hour radius of us in Rochester, NY (NOT including Canada - sorry!)
