Rusty Shepherd & Chow Chow Mix Petaluma, CA

Rusty is an incredibly handsome and sweet little tank of a dog weighing around 65 pounds. He's an easy walker and seems fairly mellow. Our vet aged Rusty between 3-5 years old. Rusty came from Florida in an effort to help clear the shelters during hurricane Irma. He was initially shy, but is opening up more everyday and gives tail wags and kisses to people he knows. He loves going for walks and is a pleasure on leash. Rusty also loves other dogs and really opens up around his dog pals. He may do well with kitties. He loves spending time in the yard and would probably do just fine with owners who work as long as he had yard access. He will need a home with a yard and a patient owner who will spend time building a trusting relationship.

All of our animals are up to date on their vaccinations, spayed/neutered, microchipped, and have had a physical exam. At adoption we provide: veterinary records and vaccine certificates, castration certificate, lifetime lost animal support, one month’s worth of flea medication and heartworm medication, one week’s worth of food, a leash, a collar, an ID tag, and a familiar toy or blanket to help them settle in. We also provide lifetime basic positive training support.
