Meet Rustler in CT - Loving and Playful!

Rustler is a quiet, but determined boy with such an innocent face that just pulls you in. This little guy enjoys attention from his people but equally loves wrestling with his siblings. He simply loves life and everything about it! Rustler and his 8 siblings were born in rescue after their mama was saved from a TN shelter. He and his siblings are all extremely affectionate, loving, and seek out attention. These smart and loving pups enjoy playing together, but are also independent and strong-willed—true to their Pyr heritage! Rustler has moved to a new home with two of his sisters and is learning all kinds of new things such as crate training and mastering his leash skills. He enjoys playing with toys and taking naps after a big play session. This independent, attention-seeking Pyr will need a home with a secure fenced yard and another large breed sibling (preferably a sister) to share it with. Rustler is simply a very sweet and smart boy who can’t wait to absorb all the great things you are going to teach him! Don’t delay as this young Rustler is waiting for you!

Due to the high level of interest we can't respond to emails unless an application has been submitted.

Our goal is to assess every application on its own merits. Key considerations are: 1) the experience of the applicant with large breed dogs 2) children in the household or regularly visiting the household are ready for a large-breed dog who is a guardian by nature (www.nationalpyr.org/know-the-breed) and 3) the sex of other dogs currently residing in the household to avoid same-sex aggression issues. For puppies under six months old, the applicant’s ability to socialize the puppy with older dogs is a priority.
