Meet Rupert
Rupert
1yr old Cane Corso mix
Oh Hi,
I wasn't sure you saw me from way over there. My name is Rupert, some like to call me Tom, on the account I like to peep in windows. I don't see the problem, at least my foster mom doesn't have to guess where I am......I am always watching. Since being in Rescue and the snow has melted I have discovered a natural pool that developed in the backyard and MAN IS IT AWESOME. I can't wait for nice weather. I heard there are beaches that allow dogs and I think it might be pretty cool to go for a dip with my new family. When I first came into foster care I loved to yell at everybody from across the street because I just really want to say hi. My foster mom told me I am too big for this so I was actually scaring people. And here I thought they just couldn't see me. Anyways my foster mom has been teaching me how to focus on her and how to properly say hello to new fur friends and people. She says I am doing really well. I still need to work on it more consistently, but my focus is really coming along. I love to play with my foster sibling and would do well with a sibling of my own. I am not a fan of being in a crate but it's ok because I am loose in the house and I am very respectful of my living space. I don't mind if my new family has another K9 for me to hang out with, big or small, however I don't trust cats. They are sneaky and mean and we just don't get along. Oh yes I almost forgot, I like to run, like really run and I have springs in my feet.....so my foster mom says I need a fenced yard with a higher fence, those chain links are just an obstacle course that I like to challenge. Because I am still working on focus and being the perfect gentleman a quieter neighbourhood would be ideal for me. Up until entering rescue I didn't have a family to teach me how to be in busy places so it can be overwhelming. I have been around little humans and I am a good boy. Just keep in mind I am a big boy and dont always remember how big I really am. But I promise if you take me home and promise to work on my training ( which I love doing ... there are treats involved), I promise to reward you with couch cuddles and I will share all my slobbery kisses with you.
Rupert has been vaccinated, heartworm tested, neutered, microchipped, dewormed and treated with Nexgard Spectra.
