Meet Rufus

Meet Rufus!

Rufus is a character and anyone that meets him is bound to love him! If you want some laughter in your life you will love this one. He is a SUPER playful and spunky pup. He loves to play with other dogs, toys and the people in his foster home. The foster has a lot of great stories about this goofy dude to share in the short time they have had him already.

Here is a video of him from day one in their home playing with one of the kids in the foster home: https://youtu.be/HP1u-NsEEA0

He is a very friendly dog. Great with other dogs. So if you are looking for a buddy for your current dog he is a contender. Walks well on a leash. Foster hasn't heard him bark yet.
He demands attention! lol! He will rub his face up against you and put his paws on you asking for pets.

He is an active and fun dog. If you would like a running buddy he would enjoy runs. If you are not a runner he would enjoy daily walks and trips to the local dog park so he can get his zoomies out.

You can see from the pictures he does have a little cute crooked face. Unsure of what happened, but it does give him character.

He was pulled from a local rural shelter in the Houston area by one of our rescue partners so we don't have much background history on him.

He is now here with a foster in Dyer, IN and is looking for a home of his own.

We are guessing he is a young adult - 1 or 2 yrs old, 75lbs, neutered, up to date on vaccines and rabies.

Adoption Process:

- please fill out our adoption application: https://www.dayofthedogs.org/adoption-application

- one of our team members will get back to you.

- our dogs can be seen by appointment only after an approved application has been received.

- Adoption fee helps to cover his neuter, initial vaccines, rabies, initial worming, and microchip.

-We cannot place holds on our dogs. Please do not contact us until you are prepared to adopt.

NOTE: We are very good about updating the pet's profiles once adopted. So no need to write us to ask "Is he/she still available?" If the post is up, the dog is still available.
