Ruby is the sweetest puppy with a heart of gold. She absolutely loves attention and affection and is a lap dog at heart.
She is 11 months old and currently weighs 40lbs.
She was rescued from the shelter, unsure of her surroundings and craving comfort and safety. She quickly found herself part of her foster family and learned how to let go and be herself; a silly, playful, loving, very smart and eager to please girl. Ruby will make a great walking/hiking partner, she has been doing great on the leash and learning public etiquette. She loves everyone she meets but please no children under 8 years old.
She loves the attention her foster brother has shown her, and loves playing and relaxing together, she will need another dog of similar size and energy in the home as well as a fenced secure yard. She has also been fostered with cats, she has been interested in them but doesn’t seem to pray on them, she would do well with a confident “dog savvy” cat.
Ruby is playful and likes her toys, overall she is an energy level 7/10, but she loves her people the most. If you’ll let her, she will crawl up on your lap, curl up in a ball, and take a nap on you. Once she learned how good love feels, she can’t get enough. She can’t wait to start her happily ever after.

Her foster says, “Ruby is a beautiful dog and is such a love bug. She came to me as a nervous, shy girl but has really opened up and become a true gem. Everyone that has met her loves her. She is learning that other dogs aren't scary and now thinks her foster brother is a lot of fun. She knew nothing and in a short period of time has made great progress with sit, down, wait, come and respecting thresholds. She is smart and a pleaser so will be fabulous with training.”
Ruby is microchipped, up to date on vaccinations and spayed.
