FOSTER OR ADOPTER NEEDED
This sweet senior has been in boarding way, way too long (like SIX MONTHS now ).
The lovely Ruby is a 9 year old Pitbull who weighs 44 pounds (just a little thing!). She has been classified as a senior by veterinarians so she qualifies for our Senior & Special Needs Pet Program - more about that below.
Ruby is good with kids and all people! She is quite talkative but it's all important things she has to say!! Ruby tolerates a kennel and is potty-trained. Please please PLEASE help us finally find this girl a home!! Ruby is all about her person, but not other animals. Seniors are so deserving of love and have so much love to give.
FOSTER:
Foster homes love and care for the pets in rescue until adoption. Commitment times vary but it's usually anywhere from 2 weeks to 90 days. While in foster, we provide supplies (kennel, leash, collar, etc.), food, and vet care. Our fosters supply the love and safety for the animal until they are adopted into their new home. Our Foster Application can be found on https://kpalrescue.org/foster-volunteer/. Foster homes must be located in/around Kenai/Soldotna/Homer.
ADOPT:
KPAL Rescue dogs are vetted (spayed/neutered, vaccinated, microchipped, etc.). Ruby is in our Senior and Special Needs (SAS) Pet Program, this means that her adoption fee ($350) can be credited towards the veterinary clinic of the adoptive family's choice for any future medical expenses (medications, surgeries, end-of-life, etc.) for her. There may also be additional funds available if needed (up to $650, for a total of $1000). She could also be a part of our Seniors for Seniors Program, if you know of a senior who may appreciate her companionship. Before considering adding Ruby to your family, please note that KPAL Rescue has a mandatory adoption process in place. We do not ship our animals and we do not allow for third-party transportation.
