Rosie Posie Australian Shepherd & Pit Bull Terrier Mix Lewisburg, TN

Meet Rosie Posie (formerly Betty Blanca named after Betty White herself). Rosie is a 2-3 year old Australian Shepherd/Pitbull mix and weighs about 50 lbs. Rosie came to us as an owner surrender from a family who had acquired her with the intention of re-homing her, however they were unable to find her a home. She was adopted in early 2022 and recently returned due to her and another housemate not getting along. We were originally told by her previous owner that Rosie was a long haired Lemon Dalmatian; and while there are Lemon colored Dalmatians and long haired Dalmatians, she doesn't appear to be a mix of one. Rosie is shorter, a little muscular, and her longer hair is mostly feathering on her legs/ears/tail. We are guessing (an educated guess, but a guess nonetheless) that she is a Australian Shepherd mix or possibly a Heeler mix. Rosie is a very affectionate girl and absolutely adores people! She loves children especially and will not hesitate to climb into someone's lap to shower them with kisses. Rosie seems to get along with other dogs; she does best with calmer dogs and can be a bit shy when meeting new friends. Once she has gotten to know another dog, Betty is very playful and acts like her typical happy go lucky self. She has not been tested with cats, though we believe that she would be too much enthusiasm for most cat's preference. Rosie is learning how to walk on leash without pulling and seems very eager to learn! She knows how to sit, and does best when motivated with a treat (she is VERY food motivated and loves her treats). She is an active girl, she enjoys long play sessions and walks. Rosie rides okay in the car, she does best crated or confined to a seat because she will try to climb into the driver's lap. She wants a person to call her own!
