Looking for the ultimate adventure buddy? Meet Rosie!

Rosie is a lab mix and approximately 4-years old. Rosie was brought to us as a stray. When she arrived, she was in rough shape and needed some good old-fashioned TLC. With proper nutrition and medication to clear up a painful double ear infection, and getting her to a healthy weight, Rosie's true personality started to emerge. This beautiful girl is now a happy and healthy pup, enjoying long games of fetch and walks on the trails. She absolutely loves to do zoomies all around the shelter yard! Once she gets her energy out, all she wants to do is sit with someone and cuddle. Rosie is very food motivated and quick to warm up. Have a treat in hand and she’ll show you her smile and eagerly show off her basic commands like 'sit' and all the way 'down' of which she is very proud to have mastered.

Given the condition she was in when she arrived, Rosie has shown some resource guarding, an indication that she had to compete for food and other basic necessities. While she has overcome some of this and feels safe and secure with us...we feel a home without young children is a must. Our good girl needs a space where she doesn't feel like she has to guard anything of high value to her from tiny hands.

Rosie has a couple of male canine bffs here at the shelter...Buddy and Jack! She seems to prefer male dogs over females. If you have a resident dog in the home, we require a scheduled meet and greet between the dogs.

This gal is highly intelligent, great on leash, and is so ready to be someone's companion. Come meet this fun and loving pup!
